SUBJECT: STRIPPED OIL PAN DRAIN PLUG (INSTALL NEW DRAIN PLUG)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 "C , E, K" MODELS

This bulletin is being revised to correct tap size.

Some 1991 DeVilles, Eldorados, and Sevilles may experience stripping of the engine oil pan drain plug threads during routine service. This condition may be caused by weld spatter on the threads of the oil pan drain hole from the manufacturing operation.

To repair this condition install a new drain plug, P/N 10017615, and retap the oil pan threads with an M12 x 1.75 tap.
