ABS TELLTALE-decK LID RELEASED (INSTALL DIODE JUMPER)

SUBJECT: ABS TELLTALE ILLUM. DUE TO DECK LID RELEASE SWITCH BEING DEPRESSED (REPLACE DECK LID RELEASE ACTUATOR)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991-92 CADILLAC "C" MODELS DEVILLE, FLEETWOOD

Some 1991-92 DeVilles and Fleetwoods may experience a condition of the amber ABS telltale coming on after the deck lid release switch has been depressed. This condition is caused by a transient in the vehicle's electrical system created by the permanent magnet motor and mechanical switch used to release the deck lid.

CORRECTION:

----------- To repair this condition replace the deck lid release actuator, P/N 16625144.
