Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Engine Cooling Fan Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the left (front) exhaust manifold heat shield.

  3. Object Number: 293962  Size: SH
  4. Remove the left (front) upper engine mount nuts.
  5. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  6. Use the engine support fixture in order to raise the engine. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
  7. Raise and suitable support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  8. Remove the left (front) lower engine mount nuts.
  9. Remove the left (front) engine mount.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 293962  Size: SH
  1. Install the left (front) engine mount to the left (front) engine mount bracket.
  2. Loosely install the left (front) upper engine mount nuts.
  3. Connect the engine wiring harness to the retainer near the starter motor.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Use the engine support fixture in order to lower the engine.
  6. Raise the vehicle.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the left (front) lower engine mount nuts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the left (front) lower engine mount nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Remove the engine support fixture.
  12. Install the left (front) exhaust manifold heat shield.
  13. Install the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Engine Cooling Fan Replacement in Engine Cooling.
