Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 182780  Size: SH
  1. Raise the front floor center console armrest.
  2. Remove the 2 retainers that attach the front floor console trim plate to the front floor console.
  3. Open the front floor console cupholder.
  4. Position the front floor center console trim plate aside to gain access to the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer.
  5. • Gently pull up on the front floor console trim plate .
    • Disconnect the traction control switch wiring harness connector from the traction control switch.
  6. Remove the two yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer retaining nuts.

  8. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer wiring harness connector from the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer sensor (1) and remove it from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 728733  Size: SH
  1. Install the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer  (1) into the vehicle and connect the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer wiring harness connector to the sensor.
  2. Install the 2 yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer retaining nuts.

  4. Position the front floor center console trim plate back onto the front floor center console.
  5. • Connect the traction control switch wiring harness connector to the traction control switch.
    • Align the front floor console trim plate to the front floor console and carefully press the retaining clips into the correct mounting holes in the front floor console.
  6. Close the front floor console cupholder.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the 2 retainers that attach the front floor console trim plate to the front floor console.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 retainers to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Close the front floor center console armrest.
  11. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - ABS to verify the repair.
