Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 325161  Size: SH
  1. Position the sunroof to the full closed position.
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Disconnect the sunroof wiring harness from the body wiring harness at the right rear pillar.
  4. Disconnect the front drain hose connections from the sunroof module.
  5. Disconnect the rear drain hose connections from the sunroof module.
  6. Remove the 4 bolts which secure the sunroof module bracket to the side rail.
  7. Remove the 6 bolts which secure the sunroof module to the roof.
  8. Remove the bracket bolt which secures the sunroof module to the sunroof actuator (center rear).
  9. Squeeze the white locator pins/retainers and push them through the frame.
  10. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle through the door opening.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 325161  Size: SH
  1. Align the sunroof module to the roof.
  2. Push the frame onto the white locator pins/retainers.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the bracket bolt which secures the sunroof module to the sunroof actuator.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Install the 6 bolts which secure the sunroof module to the roof.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the 4 bolts which secure the sunroof module bracket to the side rail.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  10. Connect the front and rear drain hose clamps to the sunroof housing. Verify that the rear drain hoses are properly routed in the metal roof slot and are taped in place.
  11. Connect the sunroof wiring harness to the body wiring harness at the right rear pillar.
  12. Temporarily install the power sunroof switch and verify the operation of the sunroof module.
  13. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  14. Open and close the sunroof in order to test for proper operation of the sunroof module.
  15. Adjust the sunroof module as needed. Refer to Sunroof Panel Vertical Adjustment .
