Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat
back recliner handle. Refer to
Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement
.
- Remove the screws from the seat cushion trim panel.
- Remove the seat cushion trim panel.
Pull the seat cushion trim panel to release the two retaining clips
located on each side the recliner handle hole.
- Disconnect the power seat switches electrical connectors.
- Remove the seat cushion trim panel from the seat.
- Remove the six-way power seat switch, if required. Refer to
Power Seat Switch Replacement
.
Installation Procedure
- Install the six-way power
seat switch, if required. Refer to
Power Seat Switch Replacement
.
- Connect the power seat switches electrical connectors.
- Install the seat cushion trim panel, pressing in until the two
retaining clips are fully seated.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the seat cushion trim panel screws.
Tighten
Tighten the seat cushion trim panel screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the front seat back recliner handle. Refer to
