Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 176146  Size: SH
  1. Unsnap , if equipped with a power drivers seat, the following:
  2. • Front adjuster finish cover.
    • Rear adjuster finish cover.
  3. Remove, if equipped with the 2-way manual driver and passenger seats, the following:
  4. • Unsnap the front adjuster finish covers.
    • Rear inner and outer adjuster finish cover screws.
    • Rear inner and outer adjuster finish covers.
  5. Position the seat(s) completely forward.
  6. Reposition the integral sleeve on the anchor to expose the seat belt (retractor side) nut.
  7. Remove the seat belt (retractor side) nut.
  8. Remove the integral seat belt anchor from the threaded stud on the seat track.
  9. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  10. Remove the seat adjuster bolts.
  11. Tilt the seat(s) forward and disengage the front hook(s) from the floor pan.
  12. Disconnect, if equipped, the drivers power seat electrical connector.
  13. Remove the seat(s) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 176146  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat(s) to the vehicle.
  2. Tilt the seat(s) forwards and engage the front hook(s) to the floor pan.
  3. Connect, if equipped, the driver power seat electrical connector.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the seat adjuster bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the seat adjuster bolts to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  7. Install the integral seat belt anchor to the threaded stud on the seat track.
  8. Install the seat belt (retractor side) nut.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt (retractor side) nut to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  10. Reposition the integral sleeve on the anchor to cover the seat belt (retractor side) nut.
  11. Position the seat completely rearward.
  12. Install, if equipped with the 2-way manual driver and passenger seats, the following:
  13. • Snap the front adjuster track covers in place.
    • Rear inner and outer adjuster finish covers.
    • Rear inner and outer adjuster finish cover screws.

    Tighten
    Tighten the adjuster finish cover screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  14. Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  15. Snap in place, if equipped with a power drivers seat, the following:
  16. • Front adjuster finish cover.
    • Rear adjuster finish cover.
  17. Inspect the seat(s) to ensure proper operation.
