B+ is applied to the fuel door release relay at all times. When the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch is in the PARK position, pressing the fuel tank filler door lock release switch will cause the fuel door release relay to energize. Ground is provided by the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch being in the PARK position. With the fuel door release relay energized, B+ will be applied to the fuel tank filler door lock actuator. When the fuel tank filler door lock actuator is grounded through the normally open contacts of the fuel door release relay, the actuator will energize and unlocks the fuel door.

B+ is applied to the rear compartment lid release relay at all times. When the rear compartment lid release switch pressed and the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch is in PARK position, the rear compartment lid release relay will be energized. When the rear compartment lid release relay is energized, B+ is supplied to the rear compartment lid lock release actuator. When the rear compartment lid lock release actuator is energized, the rear compartment lid will open.
