The power sunroof (CF5 option) has the following features:

    • A power sliding sunroof glass panel
    • A manually operated sunshade

A two position rocker type switch electrically operates the power sunroof. The switch is located in the center of the windshield header area.

Vent Position

Complete the following steps in order to place the sunroof in the VENT position:

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Press and release the CLOSE position on the control switch.

The rear of the sunroof will raise and automatically stop.

Press the CLOSE position on the control switch again in order to close the sunroof glass panel from the vent position. The sunroof glass panel will close.

Open Position

Press the OPEN position in order to open the sunroof glass panel to the full open position. The following actions occur:

  1. The sunroof glass panel lowers in the rear.
  2. The sunroof glass panel slides open between the roof and the headliner.
  3. The sunroof glass panel automatically stops when the sunroof glass panel is in the full open position.
  4. The sunroof glass panel operation can not be interrupted before reaching the full open position.

Close Position

Press the CLOSE position on the control switch in order to close the sunroof glass panel to any desired position. Hold the switch until the sunroof glass panel is in the full close position.

Express Module

An express module at the front of the sunroof module causes the sunroof glass panel to stop in the closed, vent and full open positions.

Sunroof Module Electrical Harness

The sunroof module electrical harness is routed along the left portion of the windshield header and down the left windshield pillar.

Sunroof Maintenance

Apply a silicone lubricant (GM P/N 12345579 or equivalent) in order to perform the following functions:

    • Prolong the weather-strip life
    • Help to seal the weather-strip
    • Assist in eliminating squeaks
