Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  2. Lower the front door window to the full open position.

  3. Object Number: 164366  Size: SH
  4. Remove front door outer belt sealing strip to front door screw.
  5. Use a small flat-bladed tool to lift the sealing strip from the pinch-weld flange.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 164366  Size: SH
  1. Align the front door outer belt sealing strip to the front door pinch-weld flange.
  2. Align the front door outer belt sealing strip with the screw hole.

  3. Apply pressure to the front door outer belt sealing strip until fully seated.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the front door outer belt sealing strip to door screw.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the front door outer belt sealing strip to door screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  7. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  8. Raise the front door window to the full closed position.
