Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 183035  Size: SH

    Notice: When the hood is removed from the vehicle, do not stand the hood on the rear corners. Damage to the paint and sheet metal may occur.

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with a grease pencil.
  3. Remove the bolts from the upper hood hinge with an assistant.
  4. Remove the hood from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood to the vehicle with an assistant.
  2. Align the hood hinges to alignment marks on the hood.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the bolts to the upper hood hinge with an assistant.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  6. Adjust the hood. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
