J 25070 Heat Gun

1. Use aJ 25070 to heat the hood emblem holding it about 152 mm (6 in) from the emblem surface.

Apply heat using a circular motion for about 30 seconds.

Important: Be careful not to damage the paint.

2. Remove the roof molding, begin at one end using a small flat-bladed tool and peel the molding away from the weld joint.
3. Carefully lift the molding away from the weld joint.
4. Clean the weld-joint molding surface area with a 50/50 mixture of isoproply alcohol and water.

Important: Do not touch the adhesive backing.




1. Remove five or six inches of the protective liner at the front edge of the molding.
2. Align and center the front edge of the molding with the front edge of the weld joint.
3. Use hand pressure to press the molding into place.
4. Continue to peel back the liner to center the molding and press into the joint.
