2. Use a cleaning cassette.

Perform the motor speed test with the diagnostic test tape. Refer to Tape Player Diagnostic Check .

Important: Improper removal may damage tape player.

1. Remove the obstruction.
2. Inspect and clean the moving parts and the tape head.
3. Use the cleaning cassette. Refer to Cassette Player Care and Cleaning .
4. Use the diagnostic test tape from J 39916-A . Refer to Speakers General Diagnosis .

Does the test tape operate correctly?

Service the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
