Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition to OFF.
  2. Disconnect wiper/washer switch connector C203.
  3. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
  4. Using a J 39200 set to the ohms scale, measure the resistance through the wiper/washer switch from connector C203 terminal C to terminal A.
  5. Move the wiper switch through the entire delay range, one notch at a time.

Does the resistance vary from approximately 39 Kohms to 680 Kohms?

Replace the wiper/washer switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the wiper/washer switch connector C203.
  2. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  4. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
  5. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal E, to ground using a J 39200 .

Is battery voltage present?

10.5-15 volts

Repair the poor connection condition or the open circuit condition in CKT 112.
