Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems in Wiring Systems.

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Place the hazard lamp switch to the ON position.

Do all of the turn signal tamps flash on and off?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Go to Step 3

Inspect the Hazard Fuse.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair a short to ground in the hazard warning switch fuse B+ circuit feed. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step  8

Disconnect the hazard warning switch.

Using a test lamp connected to a known good ground, probe the hazard switch fuse B+ circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair a poor connection or an open in the hazard warning switch fuse B+ circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Replace the hazard warning switch. Refer to Cruise Control and Hazard Warning Switch Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
