EXHAUST PIPE TO MANIFOLD SEAL SQUEAK-INSTALL NEW SEAL

MODELS/YEARS 1987-88 FIRENZA WITH 2.0L ENGINE (VIN CODE K)

CONDITION:

Subject models may exibit an exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold seal squeak most noticeable at idle, or during slow speed driving maneuvers.

CAUSE:

The cause of this condition is a result of normal movement of the exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold seal joint. This movement may emit an audible squeak.

CORRECTION:

This condition can be corrected by installing a new exhaust pipe to manifold seal. The new seal, Part Number 22552833 incorporates a material which will greatly minimize if not eliminate the squeak.
