---------- Some 1991-92 C and 1992 H models may exhibit a condition where the speedometer will not fully return to zero when the vehicle has been brought to a full stop.
------ Pressure to the applique causes it to bubble and interfere with the speedometer cap.
----------- 1. Remove the cluster from the Instrument Panel.
2. Remove the 2.5mm (3/32 in.) shim from the Instrument Panel Carrier as shown in Figure 1. This shim is approximately 25mm (1 in.) wide and 50mm (2 in.) long.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
