Effective immediately, it is requested that all Teves Anti-Lock Brake (ABS) parts, replaced for any reason, be returned to Teves for analysis. This request is being made so that General Motors and its suppliers can provide our customers with the best quality possible.
This request includes 1991 Eighty-Eight and Ninety-Eight models equipped with Teves Mark IV ABS brake systems and is in effect until August 31, 1991.
This request for the return of parts in no way implies that repairs or part replacements will be covered under warranty beyond the original General Motors New Car Limited Warranty coverage. Parts replaced on vehicles which are beyond the warranty period should be returned only if the customer has no desire to retain the parts.
ABS parts to be returned under this program are:
Pressure modulator valve (PMV) assembly, or any of its components:
Valve block Pump motor PMV reservoir
Master cylinder Master cylinder fluid reservoir Electronic brake control module Front wheel speed sensors Rear wheel speed sensors (sensor is part of hub assembly)
Please return all parts as soon as possible after the repair is completed. When shipping the part(s), please protectively wrap the part(s) and include a legible copy of the repair order.

Parts should be shipped pre-paid (DO NOT SHIP BY AIR). Claims for freight reimbursement are to be submitted once a month. Initiate one repair order for all freight charges using the Vehicle Identification Number and mileage of one vehicle which had a part failure.
Claims are to be submitted using Labor Operation T4627 with Trouble Code 92. Freight expense must be listed in the sublet column. The dealer is responsible to retain and make available upon request the original paid receipts for freight costs.
