2ND DESIGN FRONT STRUT ASSY. USAGE-PRODUCTION CHANGE

MODELS/YEARS 1990 OLDS EIGHTY EIGHT MODELS BUILT AT WENTZVILLE (VIN 1) AFTER VIN L 1830945

A second design strut assembly is being used on the subject vehicles built at the Wentzville Assembly Center. This second design is not interchangeable with the first design assembly. The service procedure in the 1990 Eighty-Eight and Ninety-Eight Service Manual is correct for either design.

The VIN breakpoint provided will help you to determine whether first or second design components are needed. First and second design components are listed in the service parts book.
