TAILPIPE EXTENSION PAINT CHIPPING REPLACE EXTENSION. Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 1991

CONDITION: SOME 1991 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME INTERNATIONAL SERIES OR THOSE WITH RPO BYP (SPORT EQUIPMENT PACKAGE) AND EQUIPPED WITH 3.1L V6 ENGINE (RPO LHO) AND BUILT PRIOR TO VIN BREAKPOINT MD354572, MAY EXHIBIT PAINT CHIPPING/FLAKING ON THE EXHAUST TAILPIPE EXTENSIONS.

CAUSE: POOR ADHESION CHARACTERISTICS OF PAINT UTILIZED PRIOR TO VIN BREAKPOINT ON THE EXHAUST TAILPIPE EXTENSIONS.

CORRECTION: IF THIS CONDITION IS ENCOUNTERED, BOTH THE EXISTING EXHAUST TAILPIPE EXTENSIONS MAY BE REPLACED WITH THOSE INDICATED BELOW:

R.H. EXHAUST TAILPIPE EXTENSION - P/N 10114798

PARTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE ON MAY 13, 1991. UNTIL THEN NORMAL PART ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY GMSPO. ONLY VERIFIABLE EMERGENCY VIP ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. SPO WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO OBTAIN PARTS. ALL PARTS WILL BE PLACED ON 400 CONTROL TO WAIVE VIP SURCHARGES. HOWEVER, THE PART WILL BE SHIPPED PREMIUM TRANSPORTATION AT DEALER`S EXPENSE. ALL OTHER ORDER TYPES WILL BE CANCELLED AS INCORRECTLY ORDERED WHILE THE 400 CONTROL IS IN PLACE.
