Some of the above vehicles have been reported as having water leaking from the Heater and A/C module. This water leak is coming from the lower front side of the module, as shown in Figure 1.
This water leak causes the front carpet to be wet and the resultant musty odor that is being mistakenly diagnosed as A/C odor.
This water leak condition may be addressed by either one of the following service parts and the procedure listed.

---------- 1. Raise vehicle and remove the A/C module rubber drain tube and lower the vehicle.
2. Remove the instrument panel lower sound insulator panels.
3. Pull back the carpet and remove the adapter duct (2 screws).
4. Remove the heater outlet duct (3 screws).
5. Remove the A/C module lower cover (7 screws).
6. Fill the front groove of the module, in the area indicated in Figure 1, with the specified sealant out to the screw attachment on each side of the area.
7. Reinstall the A/C module lower cover.
8. Reinstall the heater outlet duct.
9. Reinstall the adapter duct and replace the carpet.
10. Reinstall the instrument panel lower sound insulator panels.
11. Raise the vehicle and reinstall the A/C module drain tube and lower the vehicle.
