SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT REMAINS ON

MODELS/YEARS 1987-88 CUTLASS CALAIS

The seat belt warning light may remain "on" in 1987 and 1988 Cutlass Calais vehicles equipped with the gage cluster and passive restraints.

This condition occurs due to intermittent contact welding of the seat belt indicator module when used with a 3 Candle Power (CP) bulb in the gage cluster.

To repair the above mentioned condition, replace the seat belt indicator module with part number 22534666 and replace the 3 candle power seat belt indicator bulb in the gage cluster with a 2 candle power bulb, part number 25089350.
