Sunroof Drain Hose Replacement Rear

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 719633  Size: SH
  1. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Pull back the trunk carpeting away from the right side of the rear compartment trim in order to expose the sun roof drain hose outlet, refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

  3. Object Number: 719638  Size: SH
  4. Pull the outlet out of the quarter panel drain hole.

  5. Object Number: 719642  Size: SH
  6. Separate the outlet from the drain hose.

  7. Object Number: 719821  Size: SH
  8. Release the drain hose from the retaining clip along the quarter panel.

  9. Object Number: 719667  Size: SH
  10. Disconnect the drain hose from the rear sun roof drain port.

  11. Object Number: 719678  Size: SH
  12. Release the drain hose from the retaining clip along the rear pillar.

  13. Object Number: 719646  Size: SH
  14. Remove the rear drain hose through the rear compartment access hole, located between the seat belt retractor and the rear window.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 719646  Size: SH
  1. Feed the drain hose into the rear compartment through the access hole.

  2. Object Number: 719678  Size: SH
  3. Press the drain hose into the retaining clip along the rear pillar.

  4. Object Number: 719667  Size: SH
  5. Connect the drain hose to the sun roof rear drain port.

  6. Object Number: 719821  Size: SH
  7. Press the drain hose into the retaining clip along the quarter panel.

  8. Object Number: 719642  Size: SH
  9. Connect the drain hose to the drain hose outlet.

  10. Object Number: 719638  Size: SH
  11. Press the drain hose outlet into the quarter panel drain hole.
  12. Check the drain hose for play. Secure the drain hose to the quarter panel or roof with 3M® double sided tape as necessary in order to prevent rattles.

  13. Object Number: 719633  Size: SH
  14. After securing the drain hose, push the rear compartment trim panel back in place.
  15. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

Sunroof Drain Hose Replacement Front

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 719688  Size: SH
  1. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the IP sound insulators. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side and Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Pull the carpeting back in order to expose the rubber body insulator.
  5. Remove and set aside the hood latch release lever (driver side only), refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement in Body Front End.

  7. Pull the rubber body insulator away from the body in order to expose the pillar access hole.

  8. Object Number: 719662  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the drain hose from the front sun roof drain port.

  10. Object Number: 719821  Size: SH
  11. Release the drain hose from the retaining clip located at the top of the front pillar.

  12. Object Number: 719648  Size: SH
  13. Gently pull the drain hose outlet rubber grommet away from the hinge pillar in order to expose the drain hose.

  14. Object Number: 719653  Size: SH
  15. Pull the remainder of the drain hose through the hole in the hinge pillar. It may be necessary to assist the hose from inside the vehicle by gaining access to it through an internal pillar access hole.

  17. Separate the drain hose outlet from the drain hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 719662  Size: SH
  1. Feed the drain hose down through the front pillar. Connect the drain hose to the front sun roof drain port.

  2. Object Number: 719821  Size: SH
  3. Press the drain hose into the retaining clip at the top of the front pillar.

  4. Object Number: 719696  Size: SH
  5. Using a pillar access hole inside the vehicle, guide the drain hose to the exit hole in the hinge pillar.

  6. Object Number: 719642  Size: SH
  7. Pull the hose through the hole in the hinge pillar and connect the drain hose outlet to the drain hose.

  8. Object Number: 719653  Size: SH
  9. Feed the excess portion of the hose back into the hinge pillar. Ensure that the hose does not bind or fall below the level of the exit hole.

  11. Press the drain hose outlet rubber grommet into the exit hole. Ensure that the grommet is secured.

  13. Place the rubber body insulator back into position.

  14. Object Number: 719688  Size: SH
  15. Position the hood release lever.
  16. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  17. Install the hood release lever bolt.
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the hood release lever bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  19. Install the carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  20. Install the IP sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side and Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  21. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
