Tools Required

    • J 25033-C Power Steering Pulley Installer
    • J 25034-C Power Steering Pulley Remover

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the upper engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
  2. Remove the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
  3. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 649303 Size: SH
  4. Remove the power steering pump pulley using the J 25034-C .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 643361 Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering pump pulley to the pump using the J 25033-C . Ensure that the face of the pulley hub is flush with the pump drive shaft.
  2. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
  3. Install the drive belt to the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
  4. Install the upper engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
  5. Fill the power steering pump with power steering fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
  6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
