Verify that the inside rearview mirror lamps are inoperative.

Do the inside rearview mirror lamps operate normally?

  1. Disconnect the inside rearview mirror lamp.
  2. Connect a test lamp from CKT 1732 (ORN) at cavity C of the inside rearview mirror to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 1732 (ORN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a test lamp between cavity A and cavity C. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Open the front door.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 156 (WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
