Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement or Bench Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the adjuster return spring.

  3. Object Number: 298929  Size: SH
  4. Remove the adjuster assembly seat bolts.
  5. Remove the trim cover and/or shim.
  6. Remove the lock wire.
  7. Remove the adjuster assembly from the seat.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 298929  Size: SH
  1. Install the adjuster to the seat.
  2. Install the lock wire to the adjuster.
  3. Install the trim cover and/or shim.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the adjuster to the seat bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Install the adjuster return spring to the seat frame.
  8. Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement or Bench Seat Replacement .
