For 1990-2009 cars only
Apply pipe sealant, prior to the assembly procedure, to the following components:
| • | All male pipe threads not having pre-applied pipe sealant (burnt orange in color) |
| • | Components with male pipe threads with pre-applied sealant that have been assembled and disassembled a maximum of five times must have pipe sealant applied before assembly |
- Clean the threads. Remove all grease and oil with a clean cloth.
- Inspect the threads for damage. Replace any damaged threads.
- Apply pipe sealant with Teflon® to the first few threads.
Important: Do not allow pipe thread sealant on any internal diameters.
