The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The Navigation radio screen displays distance to destination in both miles and kilometers (km). This selection can be changed through Navigation menu buttons. The default distance display is in miles. When this selection is changed to kilometers, it will default back to miles on the next ignition key cycle.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The only way to repair this condition is to replace the Navigation radio with a new radio that has updated software. The new radio Part number is 25817032 or subsequent available through your local Electronic Service Center (ESC).
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
