Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1560096  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle only high enough to access the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve through the wheelhouse. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  3. Disconnect the EVAP purge solenoid line quick connect (4) from the purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Disconnect the EVAP purge line (1) from the purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  6. Object Number: 1352021  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve electrical connector.

  8. Object Number: 1352022  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolt securing the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to the engine.
  10. Remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve from the engine.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1352022  Size: SH
  1. Position the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to the engine.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolt securing the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve to the engine.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 1352026  Size: SH
  7. Connect the EVAP purge line (1) to the purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  8. Object Number: 1560096  Size: SH
  9. Connect the EVAP purge solenoid line quick connect (4) to the purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  10. Install the left wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
