Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 853340 Size: SH

    Notice: DO NOT apply paint or clear coat to the antenna. This will damage the function of the antenna, causing poor reception or loss of signal reception.

  1. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the sunshade from the headliner. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Important: Complete removal of the headliner is not required.

  4. Lower the front corner of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  5. Disconnect the wire harness to the roof antenna.
  6. Remove the antenna fastener.
  7. Remove the antenna from the roof.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 853340 Size: SH
  1. Attach the antenna base to the roof.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the retainer and bolt to the antenna.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the antenna.
  4. Position the headliner back to the roof. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the sunshade to the headliner. Refer to Sunshade Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
