Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 153741 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose and clamp (4) from the MAP sensor (3).
  2. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector (5).
  3. Disconnect the one bolt (2) and the MAP sensor and bracket (6) from the bulkhead.
  4. Remove the one bolt (1) and MAP sensor from the MAP sensor bracket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the one bolt (1) and MAP sensor to the MAP sensor bracket.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Tighten the MAP sensor bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the MAP sensor (3) and bracket (6) to the bulkhead.
  4. Secure the MAP sensor bracket to the bulkhead with the one bolt (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the MAP sensor bracket bolt (2) to 10 N·m (89 lb  in).

  5. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector (5).
  6. Connect the vacuum hose (4) to the MAP sensor and secure with one clamp.
