Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector (4).
  2. Remove the clamp (2) and the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet tube (2) from the MAF sensor (5).
  3. Remove the two bolts (1) from the ACL.
  4. Remove the MAF sensor (5) from the ACL.

  6. Remove the two bolts (3) from the MAF sensor (1).
  7. Remove the bracket (2) from the MAF sensor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 153529  Size: SH
  1. Install the bracket (2) to the MAF sensor(1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure the bracket with two bolts (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the MAF sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the MAF sensor (5) and the bracket to the ACL.
  6. Secure the MAF sensor to the ACL with two bolts (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the MAF sensor brackets bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  8. Connect the ACL outlet tube (3) to the MAF sensor (5).
  9. Secure the ACL outlet tube to the MAF sensor with one clamp (2).
  10. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector (4).
