WHEEL LOCK MASTER KEY SET AMERICAN ACCESSORIES PB-4 LOCK

MODEL AND YEAR: ALL MODELS USING THE AMERICAN ACCESSORIES PB-4 LOCKS

Chevrolets that are produced with aluminum wheels may be equipped with American Accessories security locking lug nuts. There is a special key socket stored in the car for removal and reinstallation of the locking lug nut.

In the event that the special key socket is lost, a replacement key may be ordered directly from American Accessories by returning the registration card that was supplied with the car. This is an owner responsibility.

Dealer master lock sets (DLRMS-1 and DLRMS-2) can be ordered that will allow the dealer Service Department to remove and install all the different patterns that have been fielded. To order these master sets contact American Accessories, Customer Service Dept., 2141 East 51st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90058-2816 using the attached order form. Use a dealership check with your order, otherwise, there will be no response due to the security aspects of this locking lug nut system. In the event of extreme urgency, you may call American Accessories directly (213) 585-2852.

There will be two ways of determining the proper key wrench needed. By using the registration number included on both the registration card in the glove compartment and decal placed next to the jacking instructions in the trunk. Second, by matching the color coded wrench from the dealer master set.

Price of the master lock sets, (two sets of five keys), is $50.00. An individual key wrench or lock nut is $6.00. Additional order forms are available from the Customer Service Dept. of the American Accessories for those dealerships wishing to have them available for the owner to order the replacement key.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
