SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE SEC. 4D DRIVE AXLE TORQUE SPEC CHANGE

Subject: DRIVE AXLE SHAFT HUB NUT AND WASHER CHANGED

Model and Year: 1991 GEO PRIZM

The drive axle shaft hub nut and washer design has been changed. A washer based nut is now used to secure the drive axle to the hub. Accordingly, the torque specification has been increased.

Tighten

- Drive axle shaft hub nut to 226 N.m (1 67 lbs. ft.).
