Model & Year: 1990-91 GEO PRIZM GSI WITH 1.6L ENGINE
The information contained in this bulletin is an addition to the "Timing Belt and Camshaft Timing Pulleys" procedure found in 4A-GE Engine Mechanical (6A2) of the 1990 GEO Prizm Service Manual Supplement covering the Prizm GSI model (ST373-90 Supp.) and the "Timing Belt and Camshaft Timing Pulleys" procedure found in Engine Mechanical - 1.6L L4 VIN Code 6 (Section 6A2) of the 1991 Service Manual Supplement (ST373-91).
When installing the camshaft timing pulleys, make sure that the camshaft knock pins are properly aligned in the camshaft timing pulleys and that the timing marks on the camshaft timing pulleys are aligned with the timing marks located on the timing belt rear cover (Figure 1).
