THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO ADD THE 1998-99 MODEL YEARS AND UPDATED REPAIR PROCEDURES. PLEASE DISCARD CORPORATE BULLETIN NUMBER 83-83-08 (SECTION 8 - CHASSIS/BODY ELECTRICAL) ______________________________________________________________________
THIS BULLETIN IS BEING ISSUED TO REVISE THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE IN SECTION 8C OF THE SERVICE MANUAL. WHEN REPLACING THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE (P/N'S 91173309 & 91173310), THE CARTON WILL CONTAIN A SPEEDOMETER GAUGE, RED WIRE AND A 3MM X 10MM SCREW. IT IS IMPORTANT TO INSTALL THE RED WIRE AS SHOWN IN THE ATTACHED ILLUSTRATION.
ALSO, DISCONNECT BLK/BLU WIRE FROM 16P CONNECTOR OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND TAPE OVER THE DISCONNECTED TERMINAL, USING A WINDING MOTION TO INSULATE IT COMPLETELY.

RED WIRE CONNECTOR ATTACHED TO SMALL SCREW AND WASHER AND ATTACHED TO THE SPEEDO SECOND TANG THROUGH THE OPEN HOLE. 7. DISCONNECT BLK/BLU WIRE FROM 16P CONNECTOR AND TAPE OVER THE DISCONNECTED TERMINAL, USING A WINDING MOTION TO INSULATE IT COMPLETELY.
