J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1203449  Size: SH
  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.5L (LX9).
  3. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the engine using the J 38185 .
  4. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the engine.
  5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  6. Object Number: 1203530  Size: SH
  7. Remove the right front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  8. Remove the right radiator air deflector retainers.
  9. Remove the right radiator air deflector.
  10. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the radiator using the J 38185 .
  11. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  12. Remove the radiator outlet hose clamps from the radiator outlet hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator outlet hose clamps to the radiator outlet hose.

  2. Object Number: 1203449  Size: SH
  3. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  4. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the radiator using the J 38185 .
  5. Important: Radiator air deflectors must be properly installed or reduced A/C and engine cooling system performance could occur.

  6. Install the right radiator air deflector.
  7. Install the right radiator air deflector retainers.
  8. Install the right front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Install the radiator outlet hose to the engine.
  11. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the engine using the J 38185 .
  12. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.5L (LX9).
  13. Fill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
