The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Reduced Engine Power, SES Light Illuminated, DTCs P0107 or P0108 after completing Bulletin 07-06-04-002.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the vehicle has a repeat concern of Reduced Engine Power, SES Light Illuminated, DTCs P0107 or P0108 Set Due to MAP Sensor Disconnection after replacing the Air Cleaner Assembly per Bulletin 07-06-04-002. It may be necessary to secure the MAP Sensor
Connector with the following procedure:
• | Remove Air Cleaner Housing to expose the MAP Sensor and harness connector |
• | Disconnect the MAP Sensor and route the harness under the intake manifold as shown in the photo below. |
• | Re-connect the MAP sensor and ensure that the harness connector is fully seated and the lock tab is locked over the top tang on the MAP Sensor. |
• | Thread a thin tie strap length wise between the wires on the connector and over the connector thru the bracket that holds the MAP sensor in place, pull tie strap snugly so harness end connector cannot move. Refer to photo below. |
• | Install a second band tie next to the first as described above. |
• | Install Air Cleaner Housing |
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
