Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.

    2. Object Number: 1829911 Size: SH
  2. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Remove the bolts and the liftgate latch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1829911 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the liftgate latch with the bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  3. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
