  1. Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position.
  2. Observe that the parking lamps operate.
  3. Adjust the IP dimmer switch thumbwheel to the parade mode detent position.
  4. Disconnect the radio C1 connector.
  5. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter set to indicate voltage between the radio C1 connector, cavity 6 for CKT 1382 (PPL/WHT) and ground.

Is voltage indicated?

Using a J 39200 digital multimeter set to indicate voltage backprobe between the headlamp switch pin N, and ground. Refer to Probing Electrical Connectors in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 1382 (PPL/WHT) between the headlamp switch connector and the radio C1 connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement in Lighting Systems.

Replace the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
