DEFINITION: The turn signals do not operate on one side of the vehicle, but they operate on the other side of the vehicle.

Review the turn signal operation and perform the necessary inspections.

1. Turn the ignition ON with the engine off.
2. Attempt to operate the left turn signals.
3. Attempt to operate the right turn signals.

Does the system operate normally?

1. Visually and physically examine the turn signal bulbs on the affected side of the vehicle.
2. Replace any defective bulbs.

Did you replace defective bulbs?

1. Turn the ignition ON with the engine off.
2. Activate the turn signal for the side that is inoperative.
3. At connector C200, backprobe to measure voltage at the location corresponding to the symptom.

•	If the left side is inoperative, measure voltage at connector C200 cavity A7.

•	If the right side is inoperative, measure voltage at connector C200 cavity A6.

Did the measurement equal battery voltage?

Replace the multifunction switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .
