  1. Apply the park brake.
  2. Turn the ignition ON with the engine off.
  3. Observe the DRL indicator when the daytime running lamps are ON.

Does the DRL indicator operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
  2. Apply the park brake.
  3. Observe the IP cluster.

Did any of the following indicator lamps turn on?

    • Generator
    • BRAKE
    • SERVICE ENGINE SOON

Repair the open circuit CKT 39 (PNK) between the GAUGES fuse and the instrument cluster.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 9

  1. Disconnect the connector at the instrument cluster.
  2. Test for an open circuit CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) between the IP cluster connector cavity A17 and the DRL control module connector cavity G.
  3. If you found an open circuit, repair it.
