  1. Adjust the instrument panel (IP) dimmer switch thumbwheel to the mid-range position.
  2. Place the headlamp switch in the park lamps position.
  3. Measure the voltage at the ILLUM fuse.

Does the voltmeter indicate that there is voltage available to operate the illumination lamps?

Repair the open CKT 44 (DK GRN) between the headlamp switch and the ILLUM fuse.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Disconnect the IP cluster.
  2. Adjust the instrument panel (IP) dimmer switch thumbwheel to the mid-range position.
  3. Place the headlamp switch in the park lamps position.
  4. Measure the voltage at the ILLUM fuse.
  5. Measure the voltage at cavity A8 of the IP cluster connector.

Does the voltage at the IP cluster equal the voltage at the ILLUM fuse?

Repair the open CKT 8 (GRY) between the illum fuse and the IP cluster.

Test continuity between ground and cavity B1 of the IP cluster connector.

Repair the open CKT 150 (BLK) between the IP cluster and ground.
