At C200 terminal E8, test the voltage of the power supply wire for the hazard warning switch (CKT 1040 ORN). The terminal is accessible for testing without disconnection.

Is battery voltage available at terminal E8?

B+

Repair the open CKT 1040 (ORN) between the HAZARD fuse and connector C200 terminal E8.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Place the hazard warning switch in the ON position.
  2. Test the voltage at C200 cavity E1.

Did the test indicate battery voltage?

B+

Replace the multifunction switch assembly which contains the hazard warning switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Attempt to operate the turn signals.

  1. Test for an open CKT 16 (PPL) between the flasher socket cavity B7 and C200 terminal E9.
  2. If you located an open circuit, repair it.

Did you locate and repair an open circuit?

Replace the turn/hazard lamp flasher.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
