Removal Procedure
- Remove the upper quarter panel applique.
- Remove the center high mounted stoplamp lens. Refer to
High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove
the nuts that retain the center high mounted stoplamp applique to the body.
- Remove the screws that retain the center high mounted stoplamp
applique to the body.
- Remove the center high mounted stoplamp applique from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install
the center high mounted stoplamp applique to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the center
high mounted stoplamp applique retaining screws to the body.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the center high mounted stoplamp applique retaining nuts
to the body.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb ft).
- Install the center high mounted stoplamp lens. Refer to
High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Install the upper quarter panel applique.
