  1. Disconnect the left/right power seat connector C2.
  2. Connect a J 39200 between the left/right power seat connector C2 cavity D for the CKT 285 (TAN) pigtail wire and ground.

Is continuity present?

--

Go to Step 3

  1. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the left/right power seat connector C2 cavity D for the CKT 285 (TAN) pigtail wire and ground.
  2. Press the power seat switch forward-reverse up down lever in the forward direction.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 7

Inspect for an open in the CKT 285 (TAN) pigtail wire between the left/right power seat switch and the left/right power seat connector C2.

Did you find an open?

--

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in the CKT 285 (TAN) pigtail wire between the left/right power seat switch and the left/right power seat connector C2. Refer to SIR/SRS Wiring Repairs .

Does the power seat still not move forward/rearward?

Replace the left/right power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Connect a J 39200 between the left/right power seat connector C2 cavity C for the CKT 284 (LT GRN) pigtail wire and ground.

Is continuity present?

Replace the left/right power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Does the power seat still not move forward/rearward?

  1. Connect an unpowered test lamp between the left/right power seat connector C2 cavity C for CKT 284 (LT GRN) and ground.
  2. Press the power seat switch forward-reverse up down lever in the reverse direction.

Does the test lamp light?

Inspect for an open in the CKT 284 (LT GRN) pigtail wire between the left/right power seat switch and the left/right power seat connector C2.

Did you find an open?

--

Repair the open in the CKT 284 (LT GRN) pigtail wire between the left/right power seat switch and the left/right power seat connector C2. Refer to SIR/SRS Wiring Repairs .

Does the power seat still not move forward/rearward?

Replace the left/right power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
