Removal Procedure
- Remove the sliding side
door lower trim panel. Refer to
Sliding Door Lower Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the lock rods from the sliding side door rear lock.
- Remove the bolts that retain the sliding side door rear lock to
the sliding side door.
- Remove the sliding side door rear lock from the door.
- Remove the sliding side door rear lock from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the sliding side
door rear lock to the vehicle.
- Install the sliding side door rear lock to the door.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts
in order to retain the sliding side door rear lock to the sliding side door.
Tighten
Tighten the retaining bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the lock rods to the sliding side door rear lock.
- Install the sliding side door lower trim panel. Refer to
