Was the Heated Mirror System Check performed?

  1. Ensure that the HTD MIR fuse and the HTR-A/C fuse are in good condition.
  2. Ensure all grounds are clean and tight.
  3. Disconnect C210 connector at the convenience center.
  4. Connect an unpowered test lamp between C210, pin C2, and ground.
  5. Place the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  6. Depress the heated mirror pushbutton on the heater and A/C controller.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the C211 connector or the C212 connector.
  2. Connect a J 39200 between connector C211/C212, pin E, and ground G201, or ground G200 on vehicles with upfitter provisions.

Is continuity present?

  1. Connect the C211/C212 connector.
  2. Disconnect the heater and A/C controller connector C3.
  3. Connect a J 39200 between the heater and A/C controller connector C3, cavity D, and the convenience center, pin C2.

Is continuity present?

Connect an unpowered test lamp between heater and A/C controller connector C3, cavity A, and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  2. Connect a J 39200 between connector C211/C212, pin E, and ground G201, or ground G200 on vehicles with upfitter provisions.

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between splice S206 and ground G201/G200.

Are both heated mirrors operative?

  1. Reconnect connector C211/C212.
  2. Disconnect connector C210 at the convenience center.
  3. Connect an unpowered test lamp between C210, pin C2, and a known good ground.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  5. Depress the heated mirror switch.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Inspect connector C210, cavity C2, for a loose or damaged connection.
  2. Repair the connection, as necessary.

Are both heated mirrors operative?

  2. Connect a J 39200 between heater and A/C controller connector C3, cavity D, and the convenience center, pin C2 for connector C210.

Is continuity present?

  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.

  2. Actuate the heated mirror pushbutton on the heater and A/C controller.
