Voltage is available at all times to the horn relay coil at cavity D9 of the Underhood Fuse Relay Center. The voltage comes from the horn fuse through CKT 740 (ORN).

When you activate the horn switch, the horn switch contacts close. Closing the horn switch contacts connects the ground side of the horn relay coil to ground through CKT 28 (BLK).

The current flows through the horn relay coil. The normally open contacts of the horn relay close when the current flows. CKT 29 (DK GRN) applies voltage to the horns. The horns ground through CKT 150 (BLK) to ground G103. Current flows through the horns causing them to sound.

When you release the horn switch, the horn relay is de-energized and the horns are silent.
