Was the Radio/Audio System Check performed?

Go to Radio/Audio System Check

1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the ignition switch C200 connector.
3. Connect a digital multimeter J 39200 between the ignition switch pins D2, and D6.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the ignition switch. Refer to the following procedure: Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle for the standard steering column or Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle for the tilt steering column.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Radio/Audio System Check

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 4 (BRN).

Refer to Wiring Repairs .
